citizens DO deserve to own a gun, but only after proper training.

like proper training and authorization? Like acquiring a guns license?

no, a bit more extreme. as in, at least 2 moths of training before you get a license.

i disagree... we dont need to give the government a list of people who own guns.

then, people without proper training should be allowed to use/own a gun?

better to have a criminal with no shooting training than a criminal WITH training. The criminal with training can kill more people. But my reasoning for having complete gun rights goes beyond crime.

you make a good point and I respect your opinion. Those with any criminal record that involves a violent criminal act, or a record of some mental disorder (such as: depression, schizophrenia, or insanity) should not be allowed the use of a gun. This will help minimize the chance of a criminal, though certainly not erase it.

i dont think there should be any type of training for guns either.
i dont think there are many things you can do in this situation.
if a criminal comes into your house with a gun that they got after there 2 months of training or whatever, and you have no gun, you're screwed.
and many people dont have the time and money for that.

But yes... never give up your 2nd amendment. Now it may just be criminals who attack but when its your government who is attacking and you dont have ur guns cause you gave them up....then you are fucked.

Why would an average individual lack the money to get his/her license and a criminal would have that cash? If you know how to fire a gun and how to aim it properly, this will help more people than it will harm.

either way, there are many other forms of weapon. its not going to stop some crazy lunatic, not having a gun, from robbing a bank, or what not.

True, but as I said earlier, it would help restrict and limit the number of the events.
