The Grateful Dead.
They were everything from rock to bluegrass, blues to psychedelic, and everything in between. They were the first jam band to really get big. And I like that kind of uniqueness from them. No album sounds the same.

Blue Öyster Cult.
One of the first metal bands, they were never a really serious band, with songs like Godzilla and The Golden Age of Leather. A mixture of fast, raw singing, and powerful, melodic guitar gives them their unique sound. No matter how I feel, I can find a song they did that can describe the situation.

Hardcore/ Southern Rock.
Pure genius.
I love the sound, the lyrics, the vocals, EVERYTHING.

g?g! is good, but the melos is a lot better. g?g! reminds me too much of té, just with different sounds and less variation. If g?g! was more mathy, it'd be a lot better. As it stands, it's just good math rock. So much potential, just needs more tapping into.
